Utilising extensive archival research, article uses VD campaign a lens examine way that state sought change attitudes and behaviour, role such attempts. With reflecting most publicly acceptable discourses relating VD, investigates action responses, through themes ‘The People’s War’, medical moral messages, shadows home.
